Consent — MyDailyCheck

Your consent matters. Always.

Nobody receives a MyDailyCheck call without agreeing to it first. Here's exactly how consent works.

How consent works

When someone sets up MyDailyCheck for a loved one, we don't just start calling. First, we reach out to the loved one — by call or text — and explain exactly what MyDailyCheck is, who set it up for them, and what to expect. They must explicitly confirm (press 1 on a call, or reply YES to a text) before any daily check-ins begin.

If they decline, we respect that immediately and let the family member know. No pressure, no follow-ups, no exceptions.

Opting out

You can stop receiving MyDailyCheck calls or texts at any time:

  • Reply STOP to any text message
  • Tell your family member to pause or cancel from their dashboard
  • Contact us directly at hello@mydailycheck.ca

If you opt out, we stop all contact immediately. No questions asked.

What we do and don't do

We DO

  • Call or text at the time you or your family chose
  • Ask for a simple confirmation (press 1 or reply OK)
  • Alert your emergency contacts if we can't reach you
  • Respect STOP requests immediately

We DON'T

  • Record phone calls
  • Read or store text message content
  • Share your phone number with anyone
  • Contact you for marketing or sales
  • Continue calling after you opt out

CRTC compliance

MyDailyCheck is designed to comply with all applicable Canadian telecommunications regulations, including the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) rules governing automated calls and text messages, as well as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

We only contact individuals who have provided explicit, verifiable consent. All communications include a clear opt-out mechanism. We maintain records of consent for compliance purposes.
